Materials List Breakdowns

Our deck plans are engineered to maximize the efficient use of materials. This practice is environmentally responsible and more economical.

Our plans include detailed materials listing for each project. The itemized list is organized to reference specific parts of the deck plan (example: deck 1, stairs, rail, etc.)

Deck materials ordering is made simple with our printable complete materials list.

We include 10% extra material to account for waste, mistakes, and defective lumber.

Additional Information

Our plans are presented in an 11" x 17" format to provide adequate page space for 1/4 " scale representations and to include all of the necessary notes in our drawings. The larger page space makes reading the plans easier and allows space for inspectors to leave their plan review notes. You can also print the plans off on 8.5" x 11" or 8.5" x 14" paper.

For $79.99 we offer the option of mailing 3 - 11" x 17" sets of plans and 1 set of materials list and typical deck details to your house USPS 3 Day Ground Service.

Plans can be modified to your specifications for $99.95 per drawing (not to exceed 2 hours). If you are interested in a quote please call 1-678-436-3325 or e-mail support@decks.com

Always apply for building permits where required.

Frost footing depths are determined by climate conditions in your area. We do not specify frost footing depths or account for footing materials because they will be different for everyone. Always refer to local requirements when installing footing depths.
